Music Ministry

Kenny Bryant, Minister of Music

Our purpose is to dedicate ourselves to the spreading of God’s Holy Word and the Christian Gospel, fulfilling its responsibilities to the glorification of God, the edification of His Saints and to wing the lost of Christ. Our primary focus is music for worship; both vocal and instrumental; as well as the development of skilled singers and instrumentalists both musically and in the Word of God.

Praise & Worship Leaders

…expresses thanksgiving and adoration to God vocally and in bodily expressions. This ministry equips, enables and encourage the congregation to actively minister to God, others and themselves through praise and worship as we prepare for the Word of God.

Inspirational Choir

…responsible for the teaching, training, and functioning of music. It is a vehicle of evangelism whose suggestions are embodied within various music idioms: hymns, anthems, spirituals, traditional and contemporary gospel music.

Male Choir

…consists males ages 18 and up who minister through songs.

Senior Choir

…sings twice a month, emphasizing traditional gospel music with the purpose of revitalizing the spirit of the audience by letting them experience the completeness, and knowledge of Jesus Christ through song.

Young Voices of Praise Youth Choir

…is designed to offer GYZ youth the opportunity to utilize their gifts and talents to praise God and to edify other believers.

Mass Choir of Greater Young Zion

….is composed of all choirs of GYZ and render in songs on the 5th Sunday and also accompanies Pastor Blount for all outside engagements.
